I love this time of year where the blazing sun takes a journey crossing the marshmallow skies. The grill is sizzling at a local cookout and the golden sand along with saltwater waves are ready for you to visit. My favorite part about this time of year is making memories with a bestie road trip.
Get ready for hours on the road full of sing-alongs, gossiping, and a series of “USIES” ( Usies is a selfie with more than one person). You will laugh, might cry and even annoy each other, all attributes of making the whole on-the-road experience worth it. First thing first, is picking out the vehicle that will become you and your best friend love child. I will suggest Turo; it’s
a fantastic rental car-sharing company. My best friend Paloma and I are from New York, so we travel a lot on the train, but when we want to be spontaneous and go on a road trip, this is our go-to app.The app is easy to use, all you have to do is sign up, enter when you’re traveling and where the system pulls up exclusive locally-owned cars.
After booking your dream rental car from Turo, the next thing to do is create a must-have playlist. Make sure you and your best friend create a mix you both can agree on, some old songs along with new ones. You should unite tunes because it will help avoid at least one friendly argument.
How to create a must-have playlist you and your bestie could agree on is easy. Take a night out of the week make dinner or order out and go through each other’s selection of music. If both of you say “that’s my song” as soon as the beat drops, the song is immediately on the list. You can compromise as long as the song doesn’t make you want to barf as soon as it comes on. You will want to avoid being car sick at all cost.
Check Out our “bestie’s playlist” below:
After the selection of songs for the playlist Paloma and I love to pack clothes matching back to the songs. You might stay up all night with clothes being tossed out the closet onto the floor, but honestly, you guys will get a kick out of it.The concept is similar to a scene in one of my favorite melodrama’s, The Sweetest Thing. The scene consists of actresses Cameron Diaz and Christina Appelgate in a dressing room they found along their round trip. The ladies took the trip to meet Cameron Diaz’s crush. Their clothes got lost along the way, and they need to be dressed formally to meet Cameron Diaz’s crush at a wedding. It turned into a montage where Christina Applegate dressed like Julia Roberts in the film, “Pretty Woman” and Cameron Diaz dressed like the “queen of pop”, Madonna.
When you’re all done, pack all the junk food you girls crave for, such as Doritos chips, Twix chocolate bars, and Oreos cookies, you’re all set to go!!!
Lol I love it

Yes my anthem for the summer 🙂
What a cool looking van, loving the chic playlist.
Thank you the van was actually a thrift store I stopped in this summer during the Brooklyn Arts Collective Festival
Every now and then I realize that I have lost complete touch with current pop culture- today would be that day. It probably has something to do with listening to a lot of kids bop so my kids don’t run around screaming curse words at the top of their lungs anymore! Have fun on your trip!
Aww Kids Bop how cute.
Very cool and a lot of your songs aren’t so mainstream. Good choices
Thank you I prefer non-mainstream songs.Thank you for stopping by.
What a great playlist! I need to listen to some of these – finding new music is the best!
I always love finding new music glad you like the playlist.
I’ve been surfing online more than 3 hours as
of late, yet I by no means found any attention-grabbing article like yours.
It is lovely worth enough for me. In my view, if all
webmasters and bloggers made just right content material
as you probably did, the internet can be a lot more helpful than ever before.
What an amazing compliment enjoy your day.
