“AHHHHHH,”   I’ve always been a fan of a  splendid scream in a scary film. My mother told me my love for suspense trials all the way back to my toddler years.I will laugh at a scene, and other little girls will scream, bite their nails or squirm in their seat. Not to fret I did watch the thrillers by accident, my mother didn’t purposely put on a horror movie to watch me laugh at it.Not only was I giggling at scenes that will make children look under the bed for an imaginary monster, but I will also do other odd things.For example, instead of going to school dressed like everyone else I will cry at the top of my lungs because I couldn’t go to kindergarten, dress the way I was. My magenta Barney’s slippers, stone wash denim overalls and my half stripe, half polka dot long tee was drench in tears by the time I switch my outfit for my school uniform. I still don’t remember why I was crying as if it was the end of the world but heck I believe is fine to be weird, as us fashionistas will say normal is boring.

With a soft spot for mysteries and my obsession with fashion,the television series Pretty Little Liars is my ultimate guilty pleasure.One of the cast members of the show recently announced season 7 would be the last of the television series.With that said,  Netflix became my best friend the past few weeks and I caught up on season 6. I wanted to be prepared for what seems to be the end of my guilty pleasure.(I’m currently writing with silent tears!)

If you never watch the superadditive series, it’s about a fictional town named Rosewood located in Pennsylvania.The city is known to be quiet and peaceful however it’s far from harmonious. When you get to know the story of the four girls who grew from high schoolers to young adults, you will consider your upbringing lucky. The four main characters are continuously harassed by a killer and a series of copycats who labels themselves as “A”.
As someone who notice the color lining on a pair of jeans and the hemstitch of a skirt I don’t only look at a character for their acting skills, I also analyze what the character is wearing.If you’re a fan of the show as much as I am, you know the four main characters are Aria, Spencer, Hannah, and Emily.They all dress accordingly to their personality.

Aria is known for being the flower child of the group. She strives on creativity, and her fashion sense shows it.She is a trendsetter who once wore a sequin and lace dress with embellished chain shoulders.I wondered if she cried before attending to class as a child because she couldn’t go to school dressed as her free-spirited self.

Spencer is acknowledged for her focus on studies and being an overachiever.Her style matches her personality to a T.She embraces a modern take on preppy and when it’s the right occasion she dresses like a true “girly girl”.You can see her rocking her feminity with the flower printed body con she is wearing on the left.

Hannah is as real as her designer duds.She is the friend who will tell you like it is even if the fact is unpleasant.Her wardrobe involves touches of trendiness, femininity, and glam.Her sense of style piggybacks to her playful personality, similar to a little girl who never stopped playing dress up.

The final main character of the series is Emily.She is very cautious and caring. With an easy going personality, her clothing style reflects it perfectly.Often sporting plaid shirts layered with a t-shirt and a pair of true-blue jeans she likes to play the field of keeping it simple when it comes to her wardrobe.

We can agree to the main characters of Pretty Little Liars personalities and apparel all varies.One fashion trend they can settle on is the body con dress.A bodycon dress is a figure hugging ensemble or as I call it, the body conscious dress.Each character rocks different styles of a body con; the key is to accentuate your best feature and understand what works for you and what doesn’t.I favor the silhouette simply because I’m a petite girl, and the bodycon style is always the right length on me.
