For me to get in a holiday dancing spirit,  I played “Sleigh Ride” by TLC. After belting out the lyrics,

Just hear those sleigh bells jing-a-ling
Ring-ting-ting-a-ling too
It’s lovely weather for a sleigh ride together with you
Outside the snow is fallin
And friends are calling you

I was pumped to go to my friend holiday party. For my holiday party makeup look, I decided to use GA-DE Cosmetics Fall 2016 collection for the reason of the perfect elements it has to create the holiday makeup go to look, the smokey eye.The selection included a basic matte eyeshadow palette with a range of warm earth tones mix with festive gray hues.First I used the lightest color in the kit on my eyelids. Then I worked the chocolate shadow into the light color and slightly above the lid creases. After that, I use the gray/black shade a little past the outer corner of the lids.I use the caramel tone eyeshadow to outline my bottom eyelashes to make my eyes pop.To blend the colors together, I used the second lightest shade and patted my eyelids repeatedly until each color looked like it was tied together.

Basics Matte Eyeshadow Palette: $32

Smokey eyes are better when you keep the rest of your makeup neutral. Noticed I used GA-DE Cosmetics idyllic soft satin lipstick in the shade wine divine. The pigment of the lipstick is on the darker side. I didn’t want to take away attention from my eyes. I decided to use the lipstick on the outer edges of my lips to not overpower the smokey eye look. It also a great way to highlight the nude lipstick or as the GA-DE Cosmetics named this shade, my marsala. I tend to highlight any nude lipstick with another shade of lipstick. The reason being since it’s harder to notice on women of color. In the makeup world, this lip duo is called  “the ombre.”

Idyllic Soft Satin Lipstick: $20

I complimented the smokey eye look by using a  high precision matte eyeliner. I recommend this eyeliner if you want something easy to use and durable. The eyeliner has a thin brush, helping outline the eyelids without creating an overbearing cat-eye. The eye makeup couldn’t be finished without the look of long eyelashes. Instead of worrying about a pair of faux eyelashes from my face like I do at every holiday party I decided to use a mascara this year.

Idyllic High Definition Volume & Length Mascara: $18 and High Precision Matte Eyeliner: $16

The mascara I used to create the look of faux eyelashes is the last item of GA-DE Cosmetics 2016 collection. The name is idyllic high definition volume and length mascara. I officially completed my smokey eye look and neutral ombre lips. The final touches for my holiday party makeup look is blending a sheer foundation to even out my skin. Then I applied a rosy blush lightly on my cheeks to give it a small hint of color.I put on the blush lightly because  I was trying to stay steer clear of having flushed cheeks.
