“A small apartment renter with walk-in-closet dreams”, can explain who I was for a long time until a year ago. I found a listing on my modern Brooklyn apartment. It’s spacious compared to other city apartments, which are usually the size of someone’s kitchen. Space is not the only winning point of this apartment. The other winning point that made my jaw drop was when the broker showed me the closet. A walk-in! ( I screamed out of happiness inside). I signed the lease thirty minutes later, and as a clothes hoarder, I often pinch myself every time I open my closet. Currently in disbelief having this type of luxury in my life.

Admitting, I had years of experience stuffing my excess clothes in bins or donating it. I don’t want to complain about the walk-in closet I have now. However, I do have a fantasy walk-in closet with dreams of making it a reality one day.

My thoughts of planning out my fantasy walk-in closet happened when reality struck me.I’m tired of always moving around New York City every 1-2 years. The rent rises annually, and almost always my pay doesn’t allow me to cover it. At the age of twenty-seven, I’m starting to realize how exhausting renting is. Therefore, I’m seriously considering saving money to own a home one day. With my newfound aspiration, I thought how will my home look in the future. As a fashionista, it wouldn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out a walk-in closet was on top of my list.

A couple of weeks ago I decided to put my ideas in a visual format.I created a walk-in closet inspiration board. The board’s inspirational ideas are from ARHAUS. ARHAUS has so many unique pieces on their site it was so hard for me to decide on what exactly I want. I browsed the site hours on end and finally settled on eight pieces from the site.
The reason why I picked ARHAUS to help complete my inspiration board is that I respect them as a brand. I believe ARHAUS is the answer to your questions when it comes to designing your dream home. Starting in 1986 they continue to show they can make your ideas come to life successfully. Each item is designed with the finest qualities with a stylish twist. Their product developers travel the world to help create things that will elevate your living space. A  bonus feature of this brand is the way the products are sourced, is from natural materials.

My walk in closet is inspired by my obsession of visiting museums on my days off.I love seeing art pieces and feeling my goosebumps as I glance at them. Although I paint myself, I like the selection ARHAUS has. Each piece is different in material and shape yet it balance of each other beautifully.

  1. Glam up the storage space with a light pendant centerpiece
  2. A black and white printed frame helps make a beautiful statement
  3. A wall mirror will help you to check if you look flawless before heading outside
  4. Sit pretty in a lounge chair; it doesn’t have to be only for outdoors.
  5. A wooden accent table will be a perfect place to hold up a glass vase filled with flowers or a stack of magazines
  6. A lovely rug to comfort your feet while you decide which outfit to wear
  7. Wall units in a walk-in closet will help keep the shopping addiction organized
  8. Lastly, a stool is great to have for those hard to reach items
