🎵”I’ll let him get what he want, he buy me Yves Saint Laurent
And the new whip, when I go fast as a horse, I got the trunk in the front”🎵- Cardi B
Cardi B latest song, ” Bodack Yellow” came to mind when I received a full-size sample from Influenster. As I jammed to the song, I open the packaging of the Yves Saint Laurent Matte Foundation. I was not only excited to try the designer foundation, but I felt lucky because I ran out of my current liquid Foundation from Makeup Forever.
As I continue to dance around my room, I decided to try my new foundation out for the night. I was on my way to celebrate a fellow blogger birthday. Her name is Nadya, and she is a bad-ass comic book blogger. So if you’re into comic com and superheroes check out gothamgeekgirl.com.
I picked out a purple outfit for the night and decided I will use that shade as an inspiration for my makeup. After I created my eye look, I grabbed the Yves Saint Laurent foundation and gave it a try. I uncover the black and gold top and pump the product twice onto my makeup brush. I place the brush on my forehead, nose, cheeks, and on my blemishes. After I set the foundation on my target areas, I pat my face with the brush to blend it on my skin.
The foundation felt like air, extremely lightweight. The color of the foundation came in color code: BD 25 Warm Beige. The color is a bit lighter than What I will like it to be, but after I contoured my face and did a final blend, it didn’t offend me. I finished my look with a setting spray and went to meet with my friend Nadya.
When I met up with Nadya, I wonder if anyone noticed I was wearing a different foundation. I’ve used my liquid foundation from Makeup Forever for years. I admit I tried using another brand a couple of times and always found my self-going back. A couple of my friends did notice that my makeup seem different. One pointed out the glitter look in my eye, but another friend did compliment my face. She told me, girl, your face looks so smooth tell me your secret. I laughed and told her I’m trying out a new foundation.
Her eyes lit up when I told her it’s from Yves Saint Laurent, and it’s supposed to last up to 24 hours. She asks me to tell her the truth does it last throughout the day? I respond, “Well you got to ask me again in a week since I’ve only had it on for a few hours.” She told me she would hold me to it.
A week pass by, and I told my friend the foundation still made my face look smooth like butter. I still felt the same as my first time trying it. I love it so much I don’t mind spending a few dollars more when I run out. Thank you Influenster for helping me find my new favorite foundation.
