I remember being a flower girl at the tender age of four in a custom-made salmon pink satin dress. My mother was standing by my side signaling me with her well-manicured hand to walk. Looking at all the grown-ups, smiling at me following up with multiple “aww.” I took a deep sigh and placed my right foot in front of my left foot. As I continue to walk, I grabbed a fistful of rose petals and started to throw amongst the aisles. Ever since that very moment, I watch Bridal Fashion Week shows, either on television or online.
Although I haven’t tied the knot yet, I got to experience something close to it thanks to my graphic designer and business partner Melenie Acosta. She RSVP for her and me to attend The Knot: Bridal Fashion Week. I became excited as I received email notification for each designer participating.

Bridal Fashion Week
As I enter the doors of The Knot’s event my eyes glued onto the beautiful floors and setup. The black and white drawn out flowers sit perfectly on the black and white stripes creating a perfect contrast floor. Trying our best not to lose focus, My friends and I registered our names. Near the registry section, there was a tote bag and piles of complimentary bridal magazines.After we filled our tote bags, we decided to walk around.
Different vendors/ sales greeted us with their masterpieces on hand. Together with models walking around strutting their stuff. I always prefer seeing the final product on a person because that will help define the fit and details.The range of short wedding dresses is not the only thing that caught my eye. The different accessories did too. Whether it be a brooch, earrings, brace headpiece I fell in love with this one in particular from Collete.
It is great to endure t this experience and next year I will interview designers to get a one on one. understanding of the brand and what is the thought process behind the gorgeous creations.
