If you ever wake up to achieve a makeup routine before work and enjoyed it, Beauty Con is for you. If you feel as your head is stuck in the clouds wondering WTF Beauty Con is, well is all in the name. Beauty Con is a festival curated for men and women who are obsessed with makeup and skincare. If your nodding head “yes” and snapping your fingers let e elaborate more on my favorite event of the year.

Having a flashback of when I first went. Feeling escastic such as I got the scoop on the trendiest festival of all time. I made sure my nails and hair was done, prepped an outfit with stilettos and made my face for hours. As a result, I arrived hours late. I also had to buy a pair of sandals because I couldn’t walk on my heels after about 20 min. I didn’t want to miss out on this makeup magical experience so I told myself I’d do better next year.

Now as a third-year attendee  I know what to wear, what time to attend and which lines are worth skipping and which are worth waiting on. I even decided to go all out and get the hauler package. The hauler package allows you to get there two hours early just in case if you want to get first dibs on some freebies and a VIP swag bag stuffed with over $200 worth of beauty products. This is every shopaholic fantasy come true.

When the day arrived went with family friends and my roommate (it was her first time). We all enjoyed our first stop. It was at the Lifetime booth. The booth consisted of a rainbow array of nail polish. As an attendee, we were free to select whichever color our hearts desire. After selected which color we like we can get the nail polish engraved with our name. Of course, I went with the name She Is Melrose. A month later of having this polish I refuse to use it as it sits pretty on my vanity. Who wouldn’t want to admire their name on a beauty product?

Another highlight other than spending a grand time with loved ones, a V.I.P bag, and a custom-made nail polish was being a contest winner. Throughout the event, there were the freebies, but then there were exclusive contests where only a few could win. Luckily I  did for skincare products by Nyakio, pronounced as Neh-Kay-Oh.

Why I was so content with this win is because the owner def sold the Maracuja & Yangu soothing oil to me. I swear if I want the lucky winners I will buy it. The oil came in a cute gift bag with a unicorn bracelet. We all the know the beauty business is obsessed with unicorns. The benefits of the oil include:
