Summer Wear Wish List Celebrating Zaful 4th Anniversary

Tomorrow marks the first official day of summer. I wish I were making my very own slip and slide, reality strike I’m stuck in the office. On a brighter note, I’ll be heading to Puerto Rico within a month. Traveling to the motherland means shopping for new summer clothes. Or I’m just as guilty as any other shopaholic, coming up with reasons to spend my hard earn money. It’s even more tempting when online retailers like Zaful are having a sale. 1. Sporty Chic

I’ve been visiting my family in Puerto Rico for about three years now. Of course, I feel as I got a grasp of my favorite places in the Island since my father and stepmom usually takes me to same places nearby his humble home in the town called Guayama. Typically on the first day, they drive around each bar and restaurant in the city to let the locals know his daughter in the city. This requires me to dress comfortably. Hanging throughout the day with an uncomfortable outfit is one of my biggest pet peeves. I believe this Sporty Chic outfit will do the trick.

2. Queen Bee of Summer Wear

My grandmother likes to take me to Ponce which includes a boardwalk and watching tower. My fondest memory is watching the fishes swim from the watchtower I can be there for hours looking them swim back and forth. Then when I’m ready to head down and order my favorite food Puerto Rican food which is Alcapurrias (a fritter dish made of banana and ground beef). Then after we get our shopping on at the mall. I believe this honey t-shirt is comfy and cute since I will be out the day until night.

3.Stripes and Sunny Days

My aunt works in a Museum in Guayama. Airtime I go I’m inspired and fascinated by the work of the local students that attends the school across the street. I also learn more about my ancestors and different artist that donated the work to the museum. For this reason, I enjoy the visit for creative influence. When my vacation does come to an end, and I have to go back to NYC, I find myself writing poetry or painting on a canvas. I believe this striped dress is perfect for my trip to the museum.

4.Palm Tree Print

My favorite beach I visited so far in Puerto Rico is Polita’s Beach in Salinas. On the beach, they have a nearby bar that sells fresh coconut (you can include liqueur in it if you request it) the water is crystal clear and the sand is not extremely hot thanks to the trees that are inside the water. In fact, the trees will feel reflective when I wear this top over my bikini.
