It officially feels like Alaska outside. The below zero weather makes me want to crawl in bed and snuggle with a body pillow all day. Unfortunately, like most people who work nine to five jobs, it means no walking out on lunch break. Now I’m packing lunches more common and stocking up on snacks. One of my favorite guilty pleasures is Lemon Head.

If you’re from another world and not sure what on earth Lemon Head is. It’s merely a hard texture candy. The candy looks and has a sweet-sour lemon taste. While I was snacking, I found the perfect accessory to match my guilty pleasure. I came across a waterproof cosmetic bag that has lemon icons printed all over it. Of course, I had to have it. Now that life gave me lemons, I dedicated a whole makeup tutorial to it.

The first steps to becoming a lemon head are to make sure your skin appears smooth. The smooth appearance with help your face become a blank canvas. Creating a basic makeup look simplifies creating lemon shape icons all over the face I use an oil to help bring moisture back to my winter skin. The Manketti & Mafura Anti-Aging oil vanishes dullness and dehydration right before your eyes.

After the face is dewy apply your foundation and concealer. The foundation I use is from Becca. The concealer I use is L.A. pro concealer. After I concealed for a soft look, I use Anastasia Beverly Hills powder contour kit (in the light to medium) to compliment my facial features. After I did a smooth contour, I spray my face with a setting spray. I use the super affordable Wet and Wild Photo Focus Setting Spray.

Now is the most exciting part of the tutorial, creating little lemons. I highly recommend trying to make the shapes on the top of your hand before painting your face. I use NYX Cosmetics vivid bright eyeliner in the color name, Vivid Halo. You can also use face paint if you have. Using the yellow eyeliner, I plop two dots on the side of my face. In between the two dots, I create a connecting middle circle. After I outline the little lemons, I color the fruits in with the same eyeliner.

Then on a quest to make each lemon different, I grab the NYX Cosmetics white liquid eyeliner. I outlined a half-moon on two of the lemons and filled them in. Then to create a seed-like detail, I grab the Wet and Wild mega liquid liner in black. I am tapping the brush against my cheek while creating tiny dots within the white half-moon. I added a leaf on a couple. Since I didn’t have a green eyeliner, I use the white eyeliner and wipe it clean.

To draw the leaf on the lemon, I use a green eyeshadow from a Sephora “Easy On The Eyes” palette mix with the Morphe 35V stunning Vibes #artistry pallete. ( I also use the morphe palette to fill in the black in my eyebrows). Now I have four lemons on the side of my cheek, but I didn’t stop there. I was determined  to be a real lemon head. I found a super easy lip tutorial here.

Once the side of my check was complete along with painted lips, I complete the look with lining my eyelids. You can create this look to brighten your mood from the winter blues. Or you can save this post and revisit for a  fun Halloween look.
