Hey, Guys! I finally checked off an opportunity from my bucket list. An opportunity that I’ve wanting to do it since forever! I traveled out the country for the first time, to the beautiful Island of Dominican Republic. In my Caribbean escape, I know the right sunscreen is mandatory, but my overall favorite travel accessory is sunglasses. The WearMe Pro Sunglasses became a must-have during my travel.
A couple of years ago I taught blogging in a nonprofit center, and there is where I came across a social platform a known as a podcast. A podcast was alien to me, but as soon as I learn of all the benefits, I truly became addicted. I sign up to get notified on a podcast with self-help on writing, building a brand, learning a language and of course blogging. Now with two jobs and my business, I tend to lose out on what happens in the world mainly focusing on New York City. That is when I found my new guilty pleasure, Tales From The Basement.
About a month ago I mentioned in an earlier post. A close friend of mine, Paloma Zapata made her mark on the art scene. Overjoy is the best way to describe my feeling when she told me her work got approval to showcase in an art gallery. The name of the show is This Hair, This Skin, This Body by Artsy Window. The theme of the event is reflecting a vow to body confidence while tying into a story about cultural history. The gallery is full with Millennials making their voice known, in a time where we need it most.
It is always wonderful to be invited to a special celebration. Weddings, anniversary dinners or the opening of a friend´s bar are all fun events. They usually turn out to be nights that you will remember for months to come. They also give you the opportunity to go out and treat yourself to a new occasion dress. You can guarantee that there will be a lot of people taking photos and videos, so you do want to look your absolute best. For this kind of event, it is worth spending a little bit of extra cash and treating yourself.
I remember picking up my first crayon. At first, I wanted to eat it until my mother taught me it wasn’t a snack. Once I figured out the purpose of a crayon is to create art. Whether it may be a masterpiece or squiggly lines, the activity of drawing is fun. Marc Jacobs Beauty will make you relive your childhood moment with their new Matte Crayon Gel Eyeliner.
New makeup product alert! Urban Decay has launched their most controversial product yet. They claim their latest mascara called; Troublemaker is “sex proof.” Just before I commit to the full-size product, I tried out a sample size. I want to know what the hype is all about.
I lived in almost every borough in NYC, but I find myself always moving back to Brooklyn. For the sole purpose is Brooklyn is where I get most of my inspiration from. The Brooklyn art scene is something you can’t ignore; it’s outspoken, abstract, and underrepresented. A close friend of mine, Paloma Zapata has made her mark in the art scene and invited me to an art gallery. Of course, it gave me a reason to glam up. I dress my eyes with Marc Jacobs new eyeshadow palette called eye-conic.
Activated Charcoal Toothpaste I Tried The Viral Trend, And This Is What Happen….When it comes to tooth paste, black became the new white. Over the last few months, I’ve seen the activated charcoal toothpaste on my Facebook timeline regularly. I kept wondering to myself, does this work? Or is it another beauty scam like the magnetic eyelashes that is going viral. I decided to test the activated charcoal toothpaste and see if it’s worth the hype! Continue reading
