Christmas Carols are beaming through retailers speakers. Baked goods are piling on my desk more than ever.I log in to my outlook at work, and I get a calendar alert “Holiday Party”! Oh damn! I thought to myself. Between shopping for gifts and working two jobs, I admit I forgot about the holiday party. With Cyber Monday officially done., I wonder where I can get good deals this time around in the year? Checking along google sites, I stumble upon Dress Lily, and a few minutes later I started a Christmas outfit wish list.
It is always wonderful to be invited to a special celebration. Weddings, anniversary dinners or the opening of a friend´s bar are all fun events. They usually turn out to be nights that you will remember for months to come. They also give you the opportunity to go out and treat yourself to a new occasion dress. You can guarantee that there will be a lot of people taking photos and videos, so you do want to look your absolute best. For this kind of event, it is worth spending a little bit of extra cash and treating yourself.
Fashionista Alert! New York Fashion Week is a few months away. I’m here flipping out as much as you are. Allow me to embrace my favorite trend on the rise: Male makeup gurus. Men are taking over the beauty scene, and I love it. From Manny Guitierrez to Bretman Rock, it is great to see men take on the latest must-haves and spinning it. My ultimate favorite male guru by far is one of the most experienced makeup artists in the beauty scene, Dustin Lujan. His experience of creating beautiful faces began before it started being a huge hit in the Youtube scene. He is being featured in an upcoming fashion and beauty publication entitled La La Mode Rue. The book will be written by author and lifestyle coach, Lori Snyder. CPC, ELI-MP and creative production will be overseen by Chris Victor of Victor Film Productions.
Instead of getting tattoos of your favorite painting, you can skip the pain and price with Hot Sox wearable art series…
As an NYC native, attending museums became second nature to me when I was growing up. I remember being one of the few students in elementary school taking long pauses wondering why the artist used a special paint or color. While other kids shrugged off museum lectures, I remember taking as many notes as I could. Art has always been a huge inspiration to me in my writing, the way I dress and in my own personal paintings. Getting to wear a work of art is a spectacular way to pay homage.
Whether you’re a fashionista balling on a budget or looking for a hidden gem you probably bid at an online auction before.I know I have a couple of times on Ebay. I usually bid on Ebay by clicking on the drop down menu and select on price shipping: lowest first. Then I wait around for an email to track my bids. I found a new website that has a new shopping bidding experience; the name of the site is Tophatter.
Being bohemian is more than just a look, is a way of life. Although I don’t dress in the typically patterned maxi dresses, wearing a flower crown on a daily basis, I do believe in the lifestyle.A bohemian is known to indulge most of their time expressing themselves in an artistic way. An artistic way can be painting, writing or music, creating is the forte. Another belief to this lifestyle is living like a nomad. If you’re a traveling nomad like the song Gyspy Woman sung by Crystal Waters or living in the moment, it ends with the same result. You try to live a life without stress, and you take it day by day.
When it comes to dressing bohemian, a real boho girl wouldn’t care about what anyone thinks. She usually wears whatever she wants. However, the fashion world painted a picture for what boho fashion is in a general sense. Continue reading
If you’re a balling on a budget New York City resident, then HONEY, we have a lot in common. This past summer I acted like I was a teenager living underneath my mother roof. I was tapping into my savings to stay up with the latest events. I’ll admit I had a case of F.O.M.O. (fear of missing out).Fast forward to winter I found myself staying in more than usual just to save money and make ends meet.
It’s OFFICIALLY here 2017! A New Year, and we are experiencing a gritty snow storm in NYC.Time to bundle up in your cozy sweaters and Adore Me bras. While you’re bundling up for the winter weekend, do something different.Instead of doing the usual raiding your fridge and going on a Netflix binge, let’s have a different approach to how we’re spending our winter weekends. Instead of being a couch potato (which is ok every once in a while) do something that will keep your mind sharp.
Try to develop a new hobby or continue to flourish one. Pursuing a cool hobby is a great strategy to make your winter weekends eventful. The time spent on creating will be fun, and you wouldn’t feel like you wasted a whole day. You can paint, write poetry or short stories or open your mac book where you can learn how to do a DIY project or practice different makeup looks. If the DIY project or practicing exactly want the difference between a contour brush and a foundation brush is not up your alley, don’t worry there are endless opportunities online.
