Diamonds are a girl’s best friend – or so they say! Realistically, who doesn’t love the sparkle of a ring or two? These stones may be small, but they make a massive impact on your outfits. The trick is learning how to pair them with what you’re wearing. You’d think this would be easy, but it’s harder than it seems. Too many people pair them incorrectly, which ruins the effect diamonds bring to the table. As a result, you’ve spent lots of money on diamonds that nobody recognizes or compliments you on!

You don’t want that – I don’t want that – so here’s how you pair diamonds the right way:

Start with quality diamonds.

To begin, you need to have top-quality diamonds if they’re to make an impact on your outfits. Cheap diamonds exist, but you get what you pay for. Expensive ones are expensive for a reason – they have more sparkle, more clarity, and tend to be more significant. In turn, this makes it easier to notice from afar and up close. Choose a respectable and trusted company with a history of exceptional diamonds, like James Allen. I’ve read a lot of James Allen reviews lately, and one thing that stands out is the exclusivity of the diamonds. You pay top dollar, but you get unique designs and colors that can stand out.

Keep it simple

The biggest mistake is to go overboard with your diamonds. Yes, you want to show them off, but have some restraint! Covering yourself in lots of diamonds will detract from their uniqueness. Ideally, you want one or two diamonds to catch people’s eyes as the light hits them. As such, you only really need a ring or a pretty diamond necklace to make an impact. The simplicity makes them stand out far more than if you had a diamond-studded dress or ten diamond rings on your fingers. When it comes to this precious stone, less is almost always more.

Wear them in the evening

A strange rule, but one that is rife throughout the jewelry and fashion worlds. I’m ashamed to admit I only learned about this when researching this blog post! Diamonds shouldn’t be worn during the day. The only explanation for this is that it’s a waste of time. Diamonds show up brighter during the evening when lights catch them. So, that’s what you should put yours on. Of course, if you have a diamond engagement ring, then that’s an exception to the rule. With that in mind, diamonds work best when paired with evening outfits. It includes dresses, jumpsuits, and other fancy clothes you’ll wear when going out to dinner or for a fantastic evening with your friends.

Hopefully, this gives you some essential information on when you should or shouldn’t wear diamonds. It’s not as simple as slapping them on with every outfit you own! These precious stones demand the right care and attention. So, be sure you only buy high-quality diamonds, keep them simple, and wear them in the evenings.
