Glasses can have an enormous impact on your overall look.I kept this in mind when I decided to purchase a pair of frames last year. I thought to myself, which style of glasses will go with everything I wear. I went with a pair of typical black plastic frames. The more I wore my glasses, the more I felt stuck and ordinary, so I decided to buy contacts to help freshen up my look. I love my contacts, but everyone who wears contacts knows you must give your eyes a rest. The stuck and ordinary feeling came back when I had to wear my typical black frames again..Purchasing my dark glasses felt similar to giving the eye center my arm and a leg.(it cost me $800.00)Then one day my friend came to me like an angel of fashion eyewear heaven. In one week I saw her sporting about five different eyewear looks, and I thought to myself how she could afford to have a range of frames?
I asked my friend, What is your secret? (how can she have a pair of glasses for almost every day of the week.)Then she spilled the beans, explaining a magical brand called Warby Parker is her eyewear fairy.
Warby Parker has a Home Try-On program. The process is super easy; first, you browse which glasses you will like to try on. After you select five pairs Warby Parkers ships them to you for free (including a free return label). To make sure is not a myth I decided to try the Home Try-On program for myself.
Keeping an open mind, I started to browse the Warby Parker site.I decided to try out different styles to discover what look fits me best.
Monday-My first look is a cat-eye frame called Chelsea. The angled frames were popular back in the 40s, 50s, and 60s, and still, continue to have their nostalgic vibes today. These glasses help me bring out my free-spirited personality.
Tuesday: The second look is Wally, a subtle style The glasses were semi-rimless with a polish gold finish. I believe it frames eyes quite nicely.
Wednesday– The third look Maynard, is by far my favorite.I love the rich burgundy hue and the octagonal shape. I find this frame so hard to find, it also make a great accent piece.
Thursday-The fourth look is ideal for an artistic vision.Beckett is a two-parted look. One part is a tortoise shell, and the other half seem to be dipped in a pot of emerald paint.
Friday-My last look is Laurel.Laurel is an oversized thicker plastic frame. This style is considered one of the hottest accessories these days. This trendsetter has shaped either square or circle and usually, covers more of your face. The frame reminds me of my typical black glasses; the difference is the tortoise shell.I favor the tortoise shell print.
The best part of the eyewear fairy it was like a dream come true. Each pair of frames from the Home Try-On program range from $95-$295.So what you were waiting for give it a try and let me know how Warby Parker’s Home Try-On program worked out for you.
