Hemp seed might be mistaken to be apart of the alternative cannabis ingredient that is taking over the beauty world by storm. However, the hemp seed oil is a vital ingredient in most beauty products for decades. If this news took you to my surprise, don’t worry, I was too. Immediately I look through my medicine cabinet and open my vanity drawers. On a mission to find out if my products include hemp seed oil but no luck. I did come across a hemp seed serum online from Life Essentials Skincare and gave it a try for a week.

I read the instructions on the serum, and it suggested to use daily day or night. On the first day, I did panic just in case I did get a body high utilizing the product. So I opt-out and apply the serum at night only in case of any loopy side effects. Using two pumps and place the serum on my fingertips. Then I spread it across my face. My skin didn’t look greasy, and it didn’t leave my face feeling super heavy like some other serums I use in the past. Another bonus doesn’t have a weed smell, better yet it doesn’t have a scent at all.

There is one con. As I went to apply my night moisturizer afterward, I did feel small seeds on my face. I took some off, and it appears to be tiny and black. However, you couldn’t tell the seeds were on your face to a naked eye.

I decide to watch TV for about an hour after putting on the serum. Good news I didn’t feel like I was on cloud nine! In another sense, I did feel relaxed. Similar to the feeling of getting a facial at a lovely spa minus haveing a stranger hand or weird metal device rubbing your face. After successfully sleeping through the night and waking up to the sound of my alarm ringing. I found it safe to try the hemp seed serum in the morning.

The product label did state the product is ok to wear before applying makeup. Having found the seeds on my hands is only right to be skeptical. Still, believe it is ok to give it at least a try. I applied the serum and did my morning makeup. Unlike the night before I didn’t feel any seeds on my face, but I believe it was due to my powder brush as I blend my contour and foundation.

After a week, I did see one of my biggest skin concern improve. As most of my readers know I battle having blemishes and keen to always trying different products to make them lighter. I did see my blemish coloration get lighter. Is not entirely gone but perhaps continuing the product I can see a more drastic change.

In addition to aiding blemishes, the product claims to have anti-aging properties. Hemp oil can help reduce fine lines and wrinkles as well as prevent signs of aging from developing. The linoleic acid and oleic acids found in hemp oil can’t be produced by the body but can play a crucial role in skin health and anti-aging, so they’re essential nutrients to add to the diet.
