Oh June, can you believe its halfway gone? Before you know it, we will have two months of summer left. I’m planning on making the most of it. Putting myself as a plus one to every picnic, concert, festival, outdoor movie, and anything to do with water. It can be a waterpark pool and of course, the beach. Planning all my summer activities on the right hand and prepping for this hot season with my new signature lipstick from Almay on the other side.

Typically this time of year combined, with the wearability of makeup its a recipe to look like a hot mess. As the sun rays beam, dripping with sweat is a natural reaction. Such as when one works out at the gym, this is all due to body temperature rising. Due to sweat people tend to stray away of wearing makeup to the gym or the beach. To avoid having the not so appealing “runny-drippy” meltdown look I usually settle for lipstick instead.

I tend to find a wide range of lippie selection that helps me look refresh throughout the warm season. However, I’m always on the hunt to not only look refresh all day but finding the right hue that can match all my summer attires, bathing suits included! This season my sweat-proof lipstick go to is from Almay. The warm nude cream lipstick is ironically named “Skip The Gym”. The lipstick name is becoming my new motto, I’ll just return to it after the season is finished.

Not only am I lusting after the color the makeup itself has amazing ingredients inside. It is formulated with both Vitamins E & C along with Shea Butter. I can tell you why not only are these ingredients amazing but a necessity for each summer lipstick. Vitamin E helps prevent skin damage from free radicals and the sun. While protecting from sun damage it also helps keep the lips pillow-soft.

Vitamin C is also great for discoloration of any brown spots on your lips and smoothes out fine lines, a great anti-aging bonus. The last important ingredient is Shea butter. It is always a good moisturizer. Although is not so common in the warm weather people who still suffer from chapped lips after the winter. This is an ingredient I will always look for to help keep my lips on point.

Not only does the lipstick have ingredients you want it’s also fragrance-free and hypoallergic which is great if you tend to irritate easily. You also don’t have to worry about feathering or bleeding I did the testing for you. Also for under ten dollars what not to love.
