We all want baby-soft lips, and one of the best things you can do for your lips is to provide them with the nourishment they need. The skin on your lips is super sensitive, and it’s likely to fall, the victim if your a smoker, the harmful sunrays, and harsh weather conditions. If you’re suffering from dry, peeling, and chapped lips, it is time you take care of them before it gets worse. And what’s better than using pure natural ingredients to hydrate and help them heal faster? You can always buy a lip balm at the store, but why not make it yourself. That way, you know for sure what is exactly is in this lip care product without all the harmful chemicals. I love making DIY homemade lip balms because I love adding crystals to things I make and why not add an excellent healing crystal to make the lip balm even better.

What You Need
  • Coconut oil has natural SPF properties, so adding them helps your lips receive sun protection.
  • Organic Mango butter
  • Soy wax (you can use beeswax as well, but if you want to make your product vegan friendly then I suggest sticking with the soy wax)
  • Vanilla extract for a sweet flavor
  • Vitamin E
  • Several drops of your favorite essential oil, I use peppermint oil for the pleasant cooling sensation
  • For a lovely orange tint, I use paprika powder however you can use other products if you want a different color
  • A pint-size healing crystal, in this case, I use a tiger eye. The benefits are aiding with scatter energy, resolve mental conflicts and keep grounded with change
  • Lip Balm Kit- A filling tray, plastic BPA-free lip balm holders and caps
Steps
  1. Grab a cutting board and a knife and cut your organic mango butter (mango butter is rich in vitamin A&C, antioxidant and super moisturizing)
  2. Add the organic mango butter to your mixing bowl and then pour the soy wax flakes (pour around one cup)
  3. Scoop the coconut oil into the mixer and then melt the three ingredients in a makeshift double boiler.
  4. Once is fully melted is time to add the Vitamin E, Vanilla Extract and your favorite Essential Oil, I use peppermint
  5. For the color, add a small amount of paprika powder and stir well until there are no lumps.
  6. Now grab the filling tray and place the plastic lip balm holders in the filling tray holes
  7. Add your healing crystal to each one, again I use a tiger eye crystal
  8.  Carefully pour your lip balm mix into containers
  9. To solidify your lip balm, it’s best to place it at room temperature

Creating your own DIY homemade lip balms makes for a fun project for beginners and more experienced crafters as well. And the best part? You can customize everything from the color, the texture, and the moisture content.
