A person once told me you have control of your mind, body, and spirit. I didn’t believe them until I started learning the foundation of reiki chakra healing. Before educating myself on the practice of reiki chakra healing, I’ve spent years feeling hopeless. Getting a diagnosis of depression and taking medication didn’t make it any better. Even when I experience moments of happiness and great news, I focus on the thought well, this feeling is temporary, and it will be over soon. Until I realize one has more power than they give themselves credit for. It is all about balancing your energy, and it can be easy with a chakra bath soak.

As children, we are learning color recognition from objects. As we grow a bit older, a teacher explains, colors are in connection to moods. For example, when one sees the color red automatically, they think passionate. It correlates with why red is the commercial color for Valentine’s Day.  Or when yellow comes to mind, one might have a feeling linking the color to the emotion of joy. In similar terms, this is color therapy, and it is one of the foundations used in the highlighting chakras.

Color Therapy = Chakra?

You probably thinking ok, I understand color therapy, but what in the world is a chakra? Throughout our bodies, there are sections where nerves, veins, and arteries are challenging to get through. These areas are our vital life force and are more concentrated. These are chakras. In Sanskrit, Chakra means wheel, and that’s precisely how it functions, as a wheel or disk of energy in the body.

From the base of your spine, the top of your head, it’s a total of seven chakras. Each Chakra has its name and color vibration and ground on the section of the body that they influence. Our thoughts and emotions impact the chakras. An obstruction in one or more Chakra can have an impact on how we feel and what we think.

The seven chakras are

Root, Sacral, and Solar Plexus Chakra

As the seven chakras are in connection to color, each one has an explanation. First is the root chakra is highlighting our essential trust. Regarding trust, red is representing safety, security, and stability. If this is imbalanced, it causes anxiety and fear. Next is sacral Chakra is orange, covering sexuality and creativity. If the energy is off, it will have the lack of thereof, including emotional isolation. The third is solar plexus; the yellow represents wisdom and power. These attributes can help aid the balance of self-esteem and personal responsibilities. The imbalance of this energy will contribute to low self-esteem, control issues, manipulation, and loss of power.

Heart and Throat Chakra

The heart chakra ironically is green representing love and healing. Although red is recognizable with the feeling of passion, the color of love is, on the contrary, including self-love, relationships, including friendships. If the energy on this level is out of whack, then depression, relationship issues, and lack of self-discipline may follow. As we work our way to the throat, Chakra is all about communication! The light blue is associating to help speak clearly and effectively. It also helps aid introverts who are shy and feel withdrawn. The imbalance will have the opposite effect and can increase ignorance and increase anxiety.

Third Eye Chakra

Phew that a lot of information to take in; trust me, at first, it was too much for me too, and after a while, you will get the hang of it. Don’t worry; we only have two more chakras to cover, and within the time, it will be easier to make the connection. The sixth Chakra is the all foreseeing third eye. Royal blue is representing awareness and allowing one foresight driven by openness and imagination. If the aura is off, it can cause a lack of direction and clarity.

Crown Chakra

The last and final Chakra is the crown chakra. Again this on the top of your head, and the purple represents spirituality. It is base on higher consciousness. An imbalance will cause cynicism and being close-minded. Now that we cover all seven chakras and you have a better understanding of reiki healing, let’s go over how a chakra bath soak can cleanse your energy.

A saltwater bath is an effortless way to cleanse your aura of negative energy and help balance your chakras. Throughout our day, we come in contact with different people and changes in the environment, including weather, living situation, and so on. The way energy works are interactions of giving and taking; because of this, our energy level is always readjusting.

  1. Thanks for the breakdown of chakras!! Honestly, the way you describe it just makes everything make more sense.

    1. Thank you so much. I tried to think about what will make sense if someone was explaining it to me when I first started learning it means a lot.

  2. Will definitely be looking into this! I drink Buddha teas quite a bit and they have a chakra tea section that I haven’t fully explored. Thank you!
