The holidays this year seem depressing due to the pandemic. Many of us won’t be able to visit our family in person. To get my spirits up, I want to play around and try a holiday glam look. Who doesn’t love a good festive look? Even if your dining in the living room waiting for your cousins to get on the zoom call this year around. A cherry bomb red glitter eye look can be the highlight of the conversation after all.

I always try to add some form of glitter to my makeup look on the holidays. Jolie Beauty came out with the PERFECT press on (cruelty-free) glitter palette. A twenty-four, all the glitter eyeshadow you truly need and then more! The palette name is Bomb Dot Com and is the present you really want under the festive green tree. Although all. The various colors are truly tempting, but the classic red will always be my go-to for the holidays.

Cherry Bomb Red Glitter Tutorial

There are two red glitters in the pallette one is called ignite, and the other shade is the cherry bomb. I decided to use both shades. Before I start on the look, I use an under eye brighter. Then I prep my face with a primer. Before working on the eye look, I draw and conceal my eyebrows. The purpose is making sure it is well defined before adding color to my eyelids. After I’m done, I buff out the concealer around my brows to make sure it is well blended on my face.

Afterward, I use the same concealer to double as an eyeshadow primer. As I  spread the concealer evenly on both sides, I blend it and grab a matte burgundy eyeshadow. I want my eye shadows to blend perfectly, helping to make the glitters from the BOMB DOT COM palette be the main focus.

After I apply the matte burgundy eyeshadow, I want to use a brighter red tone underneath to act as the glitter base. Instead of using another matte finish, I transition to a metallic finish. The metallic finish has more of a shimmer effect and will go great when the glitter is applied on top. Once I finish applying the red metallic eye shadow is glitter time!

Before applying the glitter from Jolie Beauty BOMB DOT COM palette, I use glitter glue to ensure the glitter stays in place and not crease throughout the day. Then I apply the glitter palette’s ignite shade and tap it on my eyelids several times. The glitter went on smoother than I expected. I had horrible luck with another glitter palettes in the past. The glitter will literally go all over my face. However, this glitter went on smooth, and one can truly see every sparkle.

As I mentally do a happy dance because of how well the glitter smoothly went on, I use the second shade, cherry bomb. The purpose of using a second glitter is to make a transition on the edge of the eyes. After I’m done applying both glitters, I add a highlight to my brow bone. To take the eye look up a notch and keeping with the festive spirit, I use a white eyeliner on the waterline. The red and white remind me of my favorite candy during this time of the year, and hopefully, you guess it right; it is a candy cane. The red glitter quality is by far the best I ever use.
