We’re halfway through the month of the New Year. Although the pandemic is not going away any time soon, I decided to lift the spirits and treat myself to new clothes do a little shopping, nothing too crazy. I came across an online shop, I haven’t shopped from before, Light In The Box. I got two outfits in the neutral shade, a mini long sleeve dress, and a knitted midi skirt.

Light in a box is an e-commerce retail site that is always up to the season’s hottest trends. The shop is available in twenty-six languages, and it ships globally. The shipping wasn’t too long. It took about two weeks for me to receive my package. If by any chance you feel you need to return something (which I highly doubt that you will) or you need to exchange, the shop site allows you to do so. I feel better having that option when shopping online because not all websites have this option, and I’m sure you will feel great having that as an option.

The first outfit is a khaki mini long sleeve dress. The material is super soft reminds me of the fabric textures velvet or velour. The dress itself is hot, so if you live in colder areas (I live in New York), this is the perfect dress. The dress is great for casual outings or even hanging in your best friend’s house.  The size I”m wearing is small, I usually go up a size when the dress is snug like this one, but it fits great as is. I style the dress with a pair of black leggings and charcoal grey booties. I decided not to go crazy with accessories because this dress is a true show stopper!

The second outfit is a light khaki midi knit skirt. The skirt is style is nothing similar to anything I have in my current wardrobe. However, I like to try different clothing styles and switch my style from time to time. I feel trying clothes out of my comfort zone is refreshing. I got the skirt in size small, and it fits true to size. First, try the reaction of putting on the full-length swing skirt and overall. It is extremely comfortable, and I  genuinely love it! The skirt itself reminds me of a skirt worn by teachers in old-school movies.

The skirt is two-tone. However, the second color is only on the bottom. The second color matches identically to the charcoal grey botties, so I put it on again for this outfit, and with it being high waist to show off the ribbing on the waistline, I paired it with a charcoal grey tank top. Since it is still breezy in NYC, the tank top won’t suffice. I paired it with a forest green cardigan. I love the skirt so much. I’m thinking about adding more swing skirts to my wardrobe soon.
