The commercial “celebrate your love day” is around the corner. Although it is not my personal favorite holiday, I believe you should express love daily. I did get in the Valentine’s Day spirit by creating a heart-eye, love-sick makeup looks with the help of dramatic lashes from GRANT UR LASH.

The Lashes

GRANT UR LASH is a brand new small business selling a range of lashes. The vendor also sells an applicator set, which is amazing if you’re on the go. Another item is a washable facemask great for looking stylish during this pandemic. For this valentine’s day’s makeup look, I wanted to go all out with the dramatic lashes, and the owner suggests a lash in style, WINX.

When I receive the package, I was googly-eyed about how unique the lash packaging is. The glimpse of gold on the side made for the perfect touch. When I open to reveal the WINX lashes, I can admit, GRANT UR LASH did not disappoint. The lashes were thick and long, the type of lashes I need to complete the look I have in mind. Not only is this a new small business, but it is also black-owned. I will like to highlight one should support black business whenever they have the chance. However, it is also black history month, just in case someone needs a friendly reminder.

The Heart Eyes

Before I have fun with blending eyeshadows, I grab my go-to concealer from Black Radiance to prime my eyelids. Afterward, I use a bright pink shade from The Rainbow Palette by Violet Voss. The shade name is flamingo. To kick it up a notch, the second eyeshadow I’m going to use is more of a punch pink. The shadow is from The Zulu by Juvia’s pallete. I’m using those particular shade right underneath the flamingo hue.

For the third shade, I’m using more of lighter pink, similar to rose quartz. The light pink I use is Maybelline’s, The City Mini Pallete. I apply this eye shadow above the flamingo pink. Stepping away from the pink hues, I’m using more dark wine for the fourth eyeshadow. Ironically the eyeshadow is from a Halloween store. It is unbranded, and the color is geared towards whom I was for Halloween, which was Chucky’s Bride. I apply this shade underneath the punch pink.

The last eyeshadow I’m going to use is more of a taupe beige. The purpose of this shadow color is to become a neutral background for the sparkles I will add on top of it later on.

Now here comes the fun part, drawing the heart eyes. I’m using only two liners to create the hearts. From a previous post, you saw me go eyeliner crazy when I did unicorn-inspired makeup. I’m using the same L.A. Girl pastel liners. This time I’m solely using marshmallow (white) and baby pink. I start with the white liner, and afterward, I fill in the white hearts with the pink liner to make it pop.
